The Majestic Brooks Range is the northernmost set of mountains in Alaska, and offers up to the visitor the opportunity for incredible photography, fishing, river rafting, canoeing, backpacking, kayaking, wildlife viewing and climbing adventures. This impressive mountain range stretches across the entirety of Northern Alaska and elevation averages around 7,000 feet, with Mount Isto, the highest peak, rising to 9,060 ft. The area is profoundly remote, where wolves and moose roam, and is home to the Porcupine Caribou herd, which number                                            approximately 160,000 animals.

This charming, rustic lodge may be a designated National Historic Site, but you'll feel at home here, relax in your room, some of which have a Jacuzzi, enjoy a good meal in the restaurant, unwind in the tavern or  browse the gift shop.  Complete adventure trip packages can be arranged through the Lodge, including transportation and equipment.  Choose from float trips, backpacking trips, fishing trips, Arctic Circle tours, and dogsled adventures.   Bettles Air Service provides transportation throughout the Gates of the Artic National Park and the Brooks range.
